FINAL MERIT LIST

Given below is the final Merit List of the B.El.Ed. Common Entrance Examination - 2009 based on the combined performance of the candidates in the Written Test and Interview.

Kindly note that this is only a Merit List and does not guarantee admission in a college. 

The following Merit Lists are being displayed:

-        Category wise Merit List for all candidates

-        Category wise Interview Roll No. wise Merit List (candidates who have been shifted from their reserved category to General on the basis of merit, their rank shown in their respective category list is that obtained in general category list.)

Some of the candidates from the Reserved Categories have been placed in the General List on the basis of their merit. Candidates are expected to look up their rank in their respective category list as well in the General List.

NOTICE FOR OBC CANDIDATES

 

Only Those candidates whose category name is mentioned in the Central List of OBC  of Government of India will be considered for counseling, otherwise they would be disqualified of the right to reservation and would be treated as general candidates.

NOTICE FOR CENTRALISED COUNSELING

 

On the basis of the Combined Entrance Test held on June 13, 2009 and Interview held on June 23, 2009, the following candidates are short-listed for Centralised Counseling in the Department of Education, University of Delhi.  The candidates are advised to note down their RANK carefully.

 

The candidates of the PD category will be considered for counseling in the second round on Monday, July 13, 2009, after the Medical Report from CMO, WUS Health Centre is received.  They have to report to the CMO at the WUS Health Centre on Wednesday, July 08, 2009 at 3:30 PM for Medical Checkup.

The eligible candidates will be required to register  in person for the centralised counseling session on Tuesday, July 07, 2009 at the Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi. Candidates must note the time for registration and counseling session from the list displayed. Candidates must carry their Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Slip and the B.El.Ed. Prospectus at the time of counseling. The Counseling Session will include representatives of all the eight colleges. The candidate will be called for counseling in order of merit and shall be offered a seat based on the criteria given below. The criteria for allocation of a college will be based on:

i)       Candidate's rank in the merit list.           

ii)      Candidate's preference for the college.

iii)    Availability of seats in each college.

 

While making their choice for the colleges, students should consider the distance of the college from their residence as well as the Liberal option courses being offered by them.

 

A second round of centralised counseling (in case of any vacancy) will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009.

 

-   No transfers will be allowed unless permitted by the College Principals in writing and counter signed by the Convenor of the B.El.Ed. Admission Committee - 2009.

-  In case of OBC candidates, only those have been included in the Merit List whose class is included in the Central List of Govt. of India. The remaining candidates have been considered under General Category.

- The date of Spot Admissions (if required) will be July 21, 2009 at the Department of Education, University of Delhi.

Note :

    -      No separate individual intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding any round of counseling.  

 

     -       The candidate who fails to appear in person on the notified date and time for centralized counseling at the Department of Education, University of Delhi shall not be allowed for any subsequent counseling sessions and forfeit her claim for a seat.

 

ADMISSION IN CASE OF TIE

 

If there are more candidates with the same rank in the Merit List, then the admission will be made as per the following rules of preference:

a)   The candidate(s) securing higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (Class XII).

b)    If two or more candidates have the same percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (Class XII), higher percentage of marks in class X will be considered.

-      Candidates are required to bring their original certificates and mark sheets along with their photocopies at the time of the counseling.

-      If the candidate fails to register herself for the respective rounds of centralised counseling, she will not be considered for admission into the B.El.Ed. programme.

-      The allotment of the seats to candidates will be made only when they personally attend the counseling session.

-      The counseling will commence from rank one onwards for all categories.

-      The choice of college so exercised at the time of counseling shall be final.

-       If the candidate fails to pay the fee in the time specified, the offer will be withdrawn and the seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list in the subsequent counseling sessions.

-      Candidates are required to complete all admission formalities and pay the fee in the concerned college as per the schedule announced in the prospectus.

-       Admission to a college will be considered complete subject to the following:

-       Payment of fee at the allotted college within the prescribed time-limit

-      Submission of original certificates.

-      Migration from one college to another is not in the preview of the Admission Committee and no such request will be entertained.

Please Note:

-   An attested photocopy of the relevant document in support of the reservation claim should be brought at the time of the Counseling.

-   If at any stage, after verification, it is found that the Certificate(s) /documents produced is/are fake, criminal proceedings will be initiated against the concerned person in addition to cancellation of admission of the candidate and forfeiture of the tuition fee.

-   The eligibility shall be finally verified by the concerned college/office at the time of admission.

-   The jurisdiction of any dispute shall be limited to Delhi only.

-   No relaxation in any of the minimum eligibility conditions is permissible.

-   No student shall be denied admission on the basis of gap period.

 

 FIRST ROUND OF COUNSELING: TUESDAY, JULY 07, 2009

ALL THOSE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN SHIFTED FROM THEIR RESERVED CATEGORY TO THE GENERAL CATEGORY ON THE BASIS OF THEIR MERIT WILL ATTEND THE COUNSELING SESSION WITH THEIR OWN RESPECTIVE CATEGORY .

*  The Dean of Faculty/Head of the Department/Principal of the College would keep the required number of seats vacant in the course concerned till the recommendations of the Medical Board are received by them and their cases decided thereafter by placing them in the merit list at the appropriate places.
